Early Morning Fire Destroys Storage Trailers

Two storage trailers were destroyed in an early morning fire in the area of Chapin Store on East Union Street in Morganton.

Public Safety received a report of a vehicle fire just after midnight (Saturday Morning).  Morganton fire personnel reported two storage trailers fully involved in flames upon their arrival.  Firefighters worked to extinguish the trailers and adjacent wooded area and had the fire under control shortly afterward.  No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
