The TGIF Summer Concert Series in downtown Morganton on the historic courthouse square kicks off on Friday, May 10th. Food and beverage vendors open at 6pm and the performance starts at 7pm (goes until 10pm). The concert is FREE to attend and open to the public.

Continuing to build a strong reputation in the Southeast as a first-class, dynamic vocal group, ENVISION has garnered much success and delivers a dazzling, high-energy stage show … complete with professional choreography, tight musicianship, silky-smooth harmonies and powerhouse lead vocals.
Founded in 1997 by Michael Thomas (Male Vocalist), ENVISION also consists of four vibrant female vocalists – Sylvania Wilder, Michelle Scales, Iris Daye and Charlene Legette. The vocal group is also backed by a strong rhythm section of talented, versatile and dedicated musicians … considered to be the best in the business. The instrumentation of the backing band consists of Leroy Roberson (Musical Director) on Bass, Herb Stephens on Guitar, Vincent Crenshaw on Keyboards and Matthew Parrish on Drums. The dynamic and mighty horn section consists of C. Michael Hinson (Trombone), James Armstrong (Trumpet) and Chris Evernham (Saxophone). The band is made up of solid, first-rate musicians who take their craft seriously.
ENVISION’s stage show is as exciting to watch as it is to dance to, covering hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, all the way up to the contemporary sound of Today’s Top 40. Although specializing as a “party band”, the band’s repertoire encompasses a wide variety of musical styles, including R&B, Beach, Motown/Oldies, Pop, Dance, Funk and Jazz.
ENVISION has performed as opening act for several national artists, ranging from actress and American Idol alum, Jordin Sparks and The S.O.S. Band - to R&B sensations Kem and Marsha Ambrosius. The group has even opened for the nationally-syndicated TOM JOYNER MORNING “SKY” SHOW. And most recently, the group has opened for nationally acclaimed author-comedian-talk show host Steve Harvey.
