Cable Television Service Technician

This position performs technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the cable television, internet, and telephone systems, including:

• Installing new services and system upgrades to homes and businesses;
• Troubleshooting service interruptions and making repairs to restore service;
• Maintaining and repairing system lines;

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of standardized techniques, tools, and practices utilized in installation, maintenance and repairs of coaxial and fiber optic cabling.   Knowledge of electrical theory and its application is beneficial. Familiarity with Viavi ONX meters and software desired. Work involves the operation of bucket trucks and working at heights in an aerial lift. 

Position requires frequent on-call and callback responsibilities and works in both inside and outdoor environments and in all weather conditions.  Work is performed in the field often alone under regular supervision and is reviewed in progress and upon completion for conformance to accepted standards. Valid NC Drivers license required. Salary Range $37,861 - $56,792.
