One entrance to Morganton Heights to temporarily close

Update: As of 9/15/2023, the NCDOT has notified that City of Morganton that the project below that would have temporarily closed one of the entrances to the Morganton Heights Shopping center has been postponed. There will be no closing of the entrance at the beforemetioned dates of Tuesday, September 19, 2023 through Friday, September 22, 2023.

The City of Morganton has been notified by NC Department of Transportation that one entrance of the Morganton Heights Shopping Center will be closed for four days starting on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 and ending on Friday, September 22, 2023. The entrance being closed is in between Panera/ Aspen Dental and Urgent Care. NCDOT crews will be installing the new water line and encasement. The closure would start Tuesday and run through Friday unless operations finish before then. Signs will alert traffic prior to the closure which will direct traffic to the main entrance to the shopping center. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
