PHOTOS: 2024 City Council Annual Workshop

The City of Morganton held their annual budget workshop on February 23 at the Morganton Community House.

This annual workshop is where city leaders and the Morganton City Council meet together to discuss financial updates, capital improvement projects and many other developments happening within the city. After several presentations during the morning session, the city council was given a bus tour that showcased updates on current and future projects such as the Bost Road sewer improvement, Bethel Park renovations, the renovated Mountain View gym, the new playground equipment at three different city parks, progress of new tennis and pickle ball courts and the finished wash station at the Public Works Garage.

It was difficult to pack into one day all that is happening within the City of Morganton, but the workshop was a success. So many exciting things progressing that we know you will make use of and enjoy!
